not read notplot channels to improve performance

With !343, we will officially add a parameter ("Not Plotted") to indicate that a channel is not plotted. For optimization purpose, it would be a good idea to not read the data from the channels with that parameter.

As a further optimization, we can also consider not reading data from channels with height 0 in their parameter.
