Artifact where scrollbar would be in plot

When the scrollbar does not show up, some artifact can appear where it would be. This does not happen in a consistent manner. Reading and plotting a number of different data sets might be required for this to appear. Likely stems from !198 (merged). Not a big issue, seeing as the plots are not affected and the size of the corruption is small.
