Address feedback from data group on latest version of lemi2seed (2022.195)

As of late July, the data group has been testing the latest version of lemi2seed (2022.195).

They have made several suggestions including some:

• feature enhancements in GUI interaction and in QC mode
• updates in message logging

They have also flagged a few minor bugs in QC mode and when parsing the metadata field sheets.

Their feedback will be addressed in this issue.
